We lose collagen 1% per year starting in our mid-thirties and, when coupled with genetic changes and sun exposure, this leads to the desire to improve the skin's appearance. Ageless Aesthetics offers 7 options of Microneedling with Rejuvapen. The reason we offer so many solutions is that we all have different skin issues, and not one type of microneedling will resolve all concerns.
The microneedling pen creates the tiny pinprick channels that stimulate a healing response, but it is what topical product we use in combination with microneedling that can address specific concerns. Our team customizes each session with medical-grade infusion options—including hyaluronic acid, PRP, exosomes, and more—to align with your specific skin goals. With little downtime and long-term benefits, microneedling is a trusted option for anyone ready to invest in smoother, stronger, and more radiant skin.
Collagen induction therapy using fine microneedles
Fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores, crepey texture, and pigment irregularities
60–90 minutes, depending on infusion type
Minimal to moderate redness for 1–3 days
Firmer, smoother, clearer skin after a series of treatments
Microneedling with Rejuvapen is an FDA-approved microneedling device that uses sterile tips containing 12 pinpoint needles to make small, controlled, minuscule, evenly spaced punctures into the skin. Your body's healing response is activated by growing fresh new collagen and elastin, which gives skin more strength and resiliency. By continuing to stimulate collagen production over multiple treatments, the end result is visible less fine lines, improved texture, and a reduction in large pores and acne scars.
This very popular treatment is great for surface issues such as crepey skin and stretch marks. We also offer Radio Frequency (RF) Microneedling, which should not be confused with Microneedling with Rejuvapen. See our RF Microneedling with Pixel8 page for more information on RF Microneedling.
When we perform microneedling, we work in zones or vectors. This is because there is a phenomenon that happens when a tiny puncture is created in the skin. A vacuum effect happens, and there is about a 7-15 minute window of opportunity to apply the topical product that the skin will pull deep into the tissue. It's the topical product we use that allows us to target specific goals for our patients. We have broken it all down for you and included some examples.
It is important to remember that microneedling is not a one-and-done treatment. We have found that a good guideline as to how many treatments you will need to achieve results is a series of 3 treatments for anyone under the age of 50 and a series of 5 treatments for anyone over the age of 50. Of course, these series can vary if you have extreme issues such as acne scars. We recommend you check out our Scar Revision page, or if you have severe sun damage or increased laxity issues, your treatment plan will vary.
We break our microneedling treatments into 2 categories, Basic and Premium levels.

Uses your own body's growth factors from your blood that is obtained from a small blood draw then prepared into Platelet Rich Plasma. Your PRP will stimulate your skin to create new cells, thereby increasing the surface density of your skin and resulting in a refreshed look. PRP is known to also help lighten the skin where surface pigmentation is.
Sculptra, which is Poly-L-Lactic Acid and comes from the sugar cane plant, targets collagen growth in the skin. This is a great choice for those with skin starting to show signs of thinning and crepey skin, where the collagen is supplemented with Sculptra to create more collagen cells in the skin.
Exosomes are a billion times more effective than PRP. Exosomes are micro-vesicles, about 1/1000th the size of a normal cell. Exosomes contain no DNA or nucleus. They are signaling agents used in cell-to-cell communication and signaling. Exosomes are known to activate several signaling pathways that are important in tissue regeneration and wound healing. This effect is called paracrine signaling and is at the forefront of regenerative medicine. For example, a 5 ml syringe of your own body's platelet rich plasma can contain approximately 5 thousand of your own body's growth factors and a 5 ml syringe of exosomes contain approximately 5 BILLION exosomes. Think of exosomes as the intelligent component of a stem cell.
The VI Peel option would be for those with any form of pigmentation issues. Whether it is sun damage or melasma, the VI Peel, when applied during microneedling, reaps superior results.

Microneedling is a relatively short and painless in-office treatment. When a patient comes in for microneedling, the first thing we do is apply numbing cream to the entire area being treated and let it sit for about 15 minutes. As soon as the patient's skin is numb, we thoroughly cleanse and sanitize the area and apply the topical infusion product of choice. We then begin working in sections or vectors of the area, using the Rejuvapen microneedle to make multiple passes in the section and applying another layer of the topical infusion product. Microneedling takes approximately 1-1.5 hours to complete, depending on the topical infusion product you choose.
Collagen Production That Supports Long-Term Skin Health
Microneedling encourages your body’s own healing response, stimulating new collagen and elastin production for skin that feels firmer, thicker, and more resilient over time.
Visible Improvement in Texture and Tone
Whether you’re treating acne scars, stretch marks, sun damage, or general skin laxity, microneedling helps resurface the skin for a smoother, more even complexion.
Customizable Treatment Options for Every Concern
Because your skin is unique, your treatment should be too. We offer both basic and premium infusion options, from hydrating hyaluronic acid to growth-factor-rich PRP and exosomes.
Minimally Invasive With Minimal Downtime
Compared to ablative resurfacing treatments, microneedling is gentle on the skin and safe for all skin tones. Mild redness is common, but recovery is typically quick and manageable.
All skin tones can safely receive Microneedling and are also appropriate for any option of Microneedling we offer here at Ageless Aesthetics. This treatment has proven to reduce acne scarring, though we obtain superior results with acne scarring with our Acne Scar Level 1-3 treatments. Other reported improvements include reduced pore size, uneven skin texture improvements, reduced fine lines, reduction in crepey skin and sun damage including hyper-pigmentation and hypo-pigmentation.
Microneedling recovery is generally mild, with most guests experiencing redness and a warm or sunburned sensation for 24 to 72 hours after treatment. You may notice light flaking as skin begins its renewal cycle. It's important to avoid makeup, heavy sweating, and sun exposure for the first 24–48 hours. Use only gentle cleansers, moisturizers, and mineral sunscreen until skin is fully healed. We provide complete pre- and post-care instructions to help you maximize your results and minimize irritation.
Although many patients do see improvement 2 weeks after the treatment, the full results won't be visible for up to 4 weeks and will continue improving for up to 6 months. Most patients will complete a series of 3-5 treatments spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart. Medical studies have shown in punch biopsies that patients see a 45-55% overall improvement in skin. Patients notice that their skin feels and looks greatly improved.
Our team is extensively trained in dermal science and microneedling technique, using the FDA-cleared Rejuvapen to deliver precision and safety with every pass. Each treatment is paired with your choice of medical-grade topical infusions to target your exact concerns, whether that’s texture, tone, or collagen loss. With meticulous technique, proven protocols, and a passion for skin health, our providers help you achieve real, lasting results.
There are situations when a patient is not a good candidate for Microneedling with Rejuvapen. Contraindications include active acne, active infection in the area to be treated, active herpes or cold sore outbreak, chemotherapy, collagen vascular disease, eczema, keloid scarring, pregnancy or lactation, severe solar keratosis, active rosacea, scleroderma, current sunburn, or vascular lesions. It is recommended to wait 2 weeks after facial fillers or injection with neurotoxins such as Botox, Dysport or Xeomin.
We apply a topical numbing cream before every treatment to minimize discomfort. Most patients describe the sensation as mild pressure with a slight prickling or tingling.
Yes. Microneedling pairs well with PRF, chemical peels, and certain laser therapies, depending on your skin’s needs and tolerance. We’ll help you build the right treatment plan during your consultation.
RF microneedling delivers radiofrequency energy deeper into the dermis to improve laxity and firm tissue, while standard microneedling focuses more on surface texture and pigment. Both are effective for different concerns.
Yes. Microneedling is non-ablative and does not use heat, making it safe for Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI when performed by a trained professional.
We recommend booking your appointment at least 2–3 weeks in advance of any big event to allow time for healing and visible improvements.
